Maybe A Carbohydrate Counter Will Help You
Here is a radical concept for you.
If you are interested in counting your carbohydrates (as in, monitoring how many you take in on a daily basis), you might want to consider a carbohydrate counter. This is a complex machine that allows you to keep track! Instead of just taking it as it comes, and guessing what your carb intake is, you can actually know for sure! Because you are carrying around a complex apparatus that allows you to factually compile a full analysis of your diet! That way you are sure to lose weight!
Alright, so a carbohydrate counter isn't that special
That doesn't mean that you shouldn't keep a general idea of what kind of carbohydrate intake you have in your head, or maybe with a pen and paper. The bottom line is that you don't need to tweak and invest in some huge, wild, radical low carb craze when a little moderation and some exercise will probably do you a lot more good over the long run. The fact of the matter is that while the basic concept of a low carbohydrate diet is a good one, as it eliminates excess, empty carbs, there is more to it than that.
- While you may be enticed by the idea of eating only low carbohydrate food, you will need energy to survive. Carbohydrates provide that vital energy, and cutting them out completely is likely to deprive you of important nutrients.
- As with any fad, it's important to take it for what it's worth. Look at little deeper and see what you can discern in terms of actual usefulness versus complete hype. All sizzle and no substance doesn't do you a lot of good, now or ever.
Become a smart carb consumer, not a diet freak. Because it's not going to do what you think it will.
Use your brain. That's the ultimate carbohydrate counter. Enjoy a balanced diet. If you see something that's got 238 grams of carbs, lay off. But a couple here and there are surely not going to kill you. Face it.
