Carb Counter

Carb counter possibilities are endless. Well not really. But a carb counter can help you tabulate.

Are You One Of Those Carb Counter Dudes?

What is a carb counter, you ask?

Well, it can refer to one of two things, actually...

  1. A carb counter can be a person who obsessively counts carbohydrates, talks incessantly about his diet, and acts as if he is the only person alive who has heard of such a thing, even as he hits on his lazy ass and refuses to exercise or consider the side effects of his actions. You all know a person like this, we would guess.
  2. Or, a carb counter is a device that allows you to punch in the carbohydrates you ingest on a daily basis, to be sure you are getting enough of the good kind (to keep you flush with energy) and limiting the amount of empty calories and such.

Whatever your definition of a carb counter, remember that it's up to you to make the right decisions.

You see, it's all about a healthy diet. Not just low carb foods. Sure, such foods do you a lot of good. But not strictly eating those foods. Don't you understand that it's going to take more than cutting your carb intake down to be a healthier person over the long run? By going on a low carb diet you effectively eliminate the major food groups to a very large degree. There are ways of getting good carbohydrates and limiting the impact of empty carbs and calories at the same time. It is all about moderation, not a complete disregard for good health. A quick fix is not gonna get you anywhere in this life and we cannot encourage anything more than going on a diet that is both balanced and combined with regular exercise. Even a little at a time helps.

At the end of the day, low carb diets only do so much for you. They are sometimes more trouble than they are worth to you. Think about this and what you want to accomplish. Then eat in moderation, work out regularly, and think everything through.
